Review:
I do not know if I overrate this drama, but I give 9.5 from 10. I highly recommend this drama!
The story line is well-planned, the visual is so great from the start (It's like I watch movie at first!), the cast is good and everything is perfect. No wonder this drama is so popular. Yeah, at least this is what I expect TvN can produce.

The casts play their character well, we can feel that. Especially Kim Go Eun, I have watched her other drama, like cheese in the trap, and her character in Goblin is my most favorite. I mean, she looks so beautiful in Goblin and it shows that she is so into her character.

Speaking of the story, this drama is not all about mystery, fantasy or dramatic, but also put some romantic comedy feel. I felt sad, happy and amazed in the very first episode. I hope this drama will always be able to make people laugh and cry at the same time~

2. Legend of Blue Sea from SBS

Genre: Fantasy, romantic, drama, comedy
Episode: 20
Uniqueness: parallel world, time slip and mermaid
Synopsis:
Heo Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho) is a professional swindler that can hypnotize people to do what he wants. One day, he meets Shim Cheong (Gianna Jun / Jun Ji Hyun) who is a mermaid while he is on his vacation abroad. At first, he takes her as a freak thief and reports her to the police. But after knowing that Cheong has a very valuable bracelet, he helps her in order to steal the bracelet. After making that decision, he and Shim Cheong face many problems and their love story starts there. (https://sobatdrakor.wordpress.com/) But because of a certain situation, Shim Cheong erases Joon Jae's memory so that he won't remember that Shim Cheong is a mermaid. Then, Joon Jae goes back to Seoul while Shim Cheong follows him by swimming across the sea. When they meet again, serious danger awaits for them.

Review:
Since I love the cast and the humor, I think it is 8 from 10 for this SBS drama.
The first episode is so interesting and funny, especially when Jun Ji Hyun acts funny and naive. She can acts well and so 'out' when expressing her character. It is not very simple since she has to act as a mermaid who know nothing about land (she doesn't even know about traffic light!). The chemistry between the main characters is well-built too.
The other casts like Shin Won Ho and Shin Hye Sun also acts so well~ Especially Shin Won Ho, I don't know if it's because his cute face, but after watch this drama you will say "OMG how can there is a hacker who is super cute like Tae Ho?". Yeah you will say that he is cute even he doesn't say much.

Beside the casts (you know famous casts is the specialty of SBS), the story is well-made, I can say that because they relate the present with the past and I don't see anything's strange. The past may end as an ill fate, but they can change the present by learning from the past. At least I get that from this drama.

I consider the humor as a normal romcom humor, they go around jealousy and love life, but then give fantasy sprinkles (you will know when you see Shim Cheong watch Master's sun to cry and then get pearls). Yeah, they make me laugh at least.
So if you like fantasy and want to laugh to your heart content, you can watch this drama and see how it ends.

3. Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo from MBC

Genre: Sport, Romance, Comedy, Family
Episode: 16
Uniqueness: female athletes

Synopsis:
This drama tells us about the life of athletes, in which the focus is on talented female weighltifting athlete, Kim Bok Joo (Lee Sung Kyung), who wants to fall in love like other girls. One day, she meets his old school friend, Jung Joon Hyung (Nam Joo Hyuk) who is a swimmer in the same university as hers. At first, she doesn't recognize Joon Hyung and accuses him as a pervert. That is the beginning of their love story.
On the other side, Bok Joo meets Jung Jae Yi (Lee Jae Yoon) by accident when he helps her. At that time, Bok Joo falls in love with him and try to know him more. Later found out that Jae Yi is an owner of weight clinic. In order to be close to Jae Yi, Bok Joo signs up in his clinic. As the story flows, Bok Joo finds out that Jae Yi is Joon Hyung's brother.

Review:
As this drama makes me laugh so much every wednesday and friday, I'll give 8.5 from 10. It could be because I love romantic comedy so much and Bok Joo satisfies me.

The story is light (not like the title - weightlifting), and sure, it shows the story of athletes, how they live in competition, how they enjoy doing sports and how they still enjoy their life. Compare to The legend of the blue sea, which I review above, I am more exciting about this drama, when they are broadcasted on the same days of the week. You know, the drama above is so funny, but this drama can make me feel 'dugun dugun', like my heart beating fast and like 'omg, they are so cute together'.

Beside, the friendship and family side are interesting and touching. You can see how weightlifting team has high cohesiveness while gymnastic team doesn't have. You can clearly see the contrast. Speaking of the family, it focuses more on Kim Bok Joo's dad, how he loves Kim Bok Joo but doesn't show it. A little mystery about Joon Hyung's mother as noone knows where she is now.
To conclude, I'd say this drama is so worth watching, especially to refresh your mind, because I think watching drama is to make you happy and laugh, not to think too much, especially in this long holiday.

4. Romantic Doctor from SBS

Genre: Medical, Melodrama, Romance, Comedy
Episode: 20
Uniqueness: doctor who hallucinates and legendary doctor

Synopsis:
This drama starts with the story of doctors in big hospital in Seoul, how they improve and compete, how they discriminate patients and how they climb the status ladder. On the focus of the story, Kang Dong Joo (Yoo Yeon Seok), who are motivated to be more capable to get revenge on his father's unfair death, meets and falls in love with Yoon Seo Jung (Seo Hyun Jin) who is a talented doctor. Her nickname is 'crazy whale' because she is capable and brave to take risk to save people.
Hovewer, after Yoon Seo Jung get into a car accident, she can't use her hand as usual. She then leave the hospital without a clue. 5 years later, Kang Dong Joo who is a general surgeon gets into trouble and be sent to a small hospital in countryside. In that place, he then meets Seo Jung again and meets Kim Sa Bu or Master Kim, later found out to be a legendary surgeon who motivated Dong Joo to be a doctor in the past. The conflict arises here and they begin to uncover the truth and encounter people who seek for personal benefit than saving people's lives.

Review:
Since I love romcom, and the romantic side is to narrow, It is just 7 from 10.To be honest, I don't really understand about medicine so I don't understand the medical terms they use in this drama. It bothers me that sometimes I skip the surgery scene because I don't really understand.

But the melodrama is well-played here, this drama is so 'drama'. Kind of tragic on another side, but still can motivate some people I think. From medical side, it is good for freshman since it can enrich their medical terms, like scalpel, suction, intubation, name of disease, name of medical procedure, etc. Since this drama takes place in emergency room and surgery table, it is so exciting to watch. Remind me of the hectic emergency man and woman.

About the cast, I really like Seo Hyun Jin here, she can really cry, really. I can see she expresses the desperation well. On the other side, she can make joke, her facial expression is funny, She is my favorite here and in another Oh Hae young (ohyeah, you should watch it too! No regret at all).

Aaa, but what I think they could improve is the romance story line, still, the title is romantic doctor after all. There is just a slight of romance sprinkle here, not even much, make me wonder why the title is like that. Still, I have to watch more to know if this drama is romantic or not. Recommend this for medicine or non-medicine students.

[How about this post? Will you be interested in this one?]

5. Scarlet Heart Ryeo : Moon Lovers from SBS

Genre: Fantasy, Romance, Historical, Dramatic, Comedy
Episode: 20
Uniqueness: Many flower boys 😉, super sad story and ending, good OSTs

Synopsis:

Since this drama has so many famous cast, I will begin by introducing its main cast.
Lee Jun Ki - 4th Prince Wang So, then become King Gwangjong
He takes the main role here as a prince who are grown apart from his brothers and parents, to be a person who never hesitates to kill. He has scar on his face, make everyone hates him, think it as a curse.

IU - Hae Soo
She takes female lead role here, she is friendly with everyone, event with Wang So. She comes from the future (or our present time). She knows a lot about cosmetics.

Kang Ha Neul - 8th Prince Wang Wook
I can see that he is the second lead male since he has short love story line with Hae Soo. He is warmhearted, but his mother and sister make him want to sit on the throne.

Hong Jong Hyun - 3rd Prince Wang Yo
He is the antagonist here, he aims to be the King. He is brother by blood with Wang So, but he and his mother hate him. His mother really wants him to be the king replacing his father.

Nam Joo Hyuk - 13th Prince Wang Baek Ah
The only one who fond to Wang So. He is the son of gisaeng, so his brothers sometimes disgrace him.

Ji Soo - 14th Prince Wang Jung
He is brother by blood with Wang So, but yet he dislikes his brother. He is the favorite of his mother, since he is obedient and strong.

Baekhyun EXO - 10th Prince Wang Eun
He is the cutie pie in this drama. He is talkative and cheerful, he is fond to Hae Soo and has soft personality. He has good relation with all of his brother, but sometimes he talks without think before.

Kang Han Na - Hwangbo Yeon Hwa or Queen Daemok
She is Wang Wook's sister who wants throne more than anything. She likes Wang So, but later she doesn't care about it, just care about the throne.

Hae Soo (IU) come from the present time to Goryeo time when she is drowned when a total eclipse of sun takes place. She is then found out to be sister in law of Prince Wang Wook (Kang Ha Neul). At first, she falls in love with Wang Wook but then realize that Wook is not the one. (https://sobatdrakor.wordpress.com/)  She then falls in love with Wang So (Lee Jun Ki), nicknamed 'wolf dog', since he is ruthless because of hard childhood. After a while, she becomes close with the princes and enter the palace as a maid. After that, she encounter the rivalry of sitting on the throne, including blood and sacrifice.

Review:
Honestly, I love this drama. I can give 8.5 from 10, even the rating is not that high. The casts are very good, the story line is unexpectedly interesting and the OSTs suit the drama well.
Even it is so fantasy, they try to make it look real by using historical event, Goryeo Dinasty, when King Gwangjong sat on the throne. There is another adaptation of Wang So, 'Shine or go crazy', Jang Hyuk becomes Wang So, you could see the difference.

I usually don't like historical drama, but this drama is not like the usual. It is refreshing, with young casts, I can feel the excitement.
This drama keeps us up and down. Up at the beginning, we laugh and smile, we feel warm watching the romance between the main role, everyone's happy. But from the middle to the end, I almost see nothing but tears. One by one die, leave us with sorrow. Brace yourself, at least we get that greed can bring nothing but sadness and regret. We can see that the brutality of ones can ruin everything, family, personal relation and even love. I still don't like the ending, but at least it is clear. Oh yeah btw, I heard that there will be a sequel, I long to watch it, so I hope it' not hoax. I saw Lee Jun Ki posted something which looks like a clue on his Instagram account. Whoa, just wait and see guys~

Review:
When this drama and Moon Lovers air simultaneously, at the early episodes, I find this drama more interesting, but after a while, I think moon lovers is more interesting. So, the same score as Moon Lovers, 8.5 from 10.
This drama is so funny and refreshing. When gender bender is too common in korean dramas world, I find this drama more unique because the girl who pretends to be a man then works as eunuch. Above all, she becomes eunuch to pay off his step father's dad, not even her real dad. So, it is sad but funny at the same time.
I really like the cast of this drama, my highlight: cutie pie Park Bo Gum~ He likes to play around but knows when to be serious. Yeah, I really like his character.
Ah yeah, and the story about Hong Ra On's mom is also touching. It is unpredictable I think. I don't expect that to happen.
I really like the romance here. They are so cute together, while we remember all funny scene from the first time they met. Maybe in this drama you will suffer from Second Male Lead Syndrome too~
Unlike the Moon Lovers, this drama is not too sad, it is bearable. You may expect for happy ending, too..

Review:
I admit that I am thrilled watching this drama. I give 9 from 10 (still because I think Goblin is better). Although this drama has fantasy genre, it still makes us thinking about the variables exist which relate to the events, and what will happen to the main character. But also, because this is fantasy drama, we cannot predict what will happen since the events are unpredictable, the writer can make up anything. I think the mysterious man here is so powerful, which make me disliked this drama for a moment.

Speaking of the casts, I reckon Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo make a good pair. They are a very cute couple, and I understand how Oh Yeon Joo feels, how she meets a rich yet handsome man, her ideal man that she can immediately fall in love with him. It was a good time for me watching them.

To conclude, I think this drama can make you stay awake all night, thinking about the next episode. And fortunately, this drama ends well so you can watch all the episodes immediately. Watch out for romantic scenes!

8. Hwarang from KBS

Genre: Romance, Historical, Coming of age
Episodes: 20
Uniqueness: Many flower boys here guys, and the story is about Kingdom of Silla (three kingdom period), not like the other dramas which story is about joseon period or goryeo.

Synopsis:
Hwarang is an elite group of male youth in Kingdom of Silla. It is made by the queen to protect their king -queen's son- because it is told that Silla is the smallest and weakest kingdom compared to the other two.
Since this drama has many casts, I will introduce the important ones.

Moo Myung or Dog bird (who will be known as Kim Sun Woo later) - Park Seo Joon
Moo Myung is a peasant who is very strong and kindhearted. He is a friend of Sun Woo, a half breed who is expelled from the capital and who is looking for his family. Moo Myung then will join Hwarang as Sun Woo because of a reason (watch it if you want to know ㅋㅋㅋ)

Kim Ah ro - Go Ara
Ah ro is Sun Woo's sister. She is the one who teach Moo Myung to write later in the story. She is a storyteller who does much work to pay off the debt. She is cheerful but softhearted.

Sammaekjong (later known as Ji Dwi) - Park Hyung Shik
Sammaekjong is the king of Silla, but he is banned by the queen to show his face to his people. That's why he is called coward and weak king. He thinks that the queen does that because she does not want to be dethroned, otherwise, she does that in order to protect the king. He later joins Hwarang.

Soo Ho - Choi Min Ho
Soo Ho was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, his father supports the queen. He is hot blooded, seen as playboy but he is cute. I like how he smiles.. (aaaa min ho oppa)

Park Ban Ryu - Do Ji Han
Ban Ryu is an adopted son of the head of the ministry who acts as opposition, he has been taught about politic by his two father from early age, so he is competitive, cold-blooded and hates Soo Ho who supports the queen. He is such a jerk in this drama, but we know that it is because his background. He has deep wound, guys.

The famous Sung Dong Il acts as the head trainer who makes Hwarang, he acts as Kim Wi Hwa. I see that whenever he talks seriously, he will show funny events, like when he proudly rides horse in Hwarang parade and then slapped by the hanging decoration! You can have high expectation, guys.

The last but not the least, Kim Tae Hyung (our V from BTS) will play an innocent character here, as a part of Hwarang. His screen time is not as much as Baekhyeon in Moon Lovers, but well I love his character here. I hope he will get more in the future episodes.

There will be a love triangle among Dog Bird, Ah Ro and the king. But for now (I have just watched six episodes), Ah Ro thinks Dog Bird is her brother so..well....

Review:
Perhaps it is because this drama is still on-going, so I still anticipate more episodes and conflicts, I rate this drama highly, 9 from 10. Honestly, I still see the fun in this drama because it is still the beginning. Like, I show more excitement in the beginning of every drama I think. But for now, I still eagerly wait for next episodes.

I really like Lee Kwang Soo short roles here, I almost cry when I see the story of him, playing as Sun Woo. Aaa, such a good beginning. I hope this drama can flow like the water, so we can be refreshed from our busy activities and deadlines. 'Water is strong, Water is weak, Water is good, Water is tired' -that's the highlight of episode six.

I like the king here, the lonely king, the king who is loved, but has no idea. Hyung Sik's acting is strong here, I feel great watching him being a childish but lonesome king.
As I expected, Park Seo Joon meets my expectation. He is funny, he is loyal, he is devoted to his best friend and love. And I get my hope high, I think the male lead have to be like him, protecting everyone he loves, even with that love he then seek for revenge.
Just like her dramas in the past, Go Ara plays a cheerful role, as an innocent looking girl who is so lovely. She is even more beautiful with long hair. Her eyes are beautiful too.
I think the casts suits their character well, like min ho and do ji han. Min ho's face is enough to show his character.

So, I know that I will watch this drama 'till the end because the big secrets have not yet been unveiled.

That's all dramas which I recommend, I believe it can warm your heart in this winter. Some make us cry while the others make us laugh. That is the meaning of korean drama. So, don't hesitate, watch your drama which can brighten your day and night!
